The Snye
12" x 36", acrylic on gallery canvas (ORIGINAL)
Week 9's contribution to the 52 Week Landscapes and Landmarks painting challenge is the Snye, a small body of water that connects the Athabasca River and Clearwater River in Fort McMurray. By definition, a snye is a side channel or small stream branching from a main river, often rejoining it or connecting two rivers. This particular spot looks at the east end of MacDonald Island and is highly used and enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
One hundred dollars from the purchase of this painting will be donated to Bracelets For Buildings, joining an effort that will result in the construction of a home for a family in need in rural Cambodia.
Standard shipping rate in Canada and the USA is $35. If you are able to pick up at Birdsong Studio in High River please scroll down from Standard Shipping and select Pick up at Birdsong Studio.
