This weekly art program is for youth ages 7 to 14 who are interested in creating in a real working art studio. In the second year of this program we will be adding drawing fundamentals and offering opportunities to try different techniques and subjects. While we offer some direction and projects, we encourage the students to explore their own ideas and interests. In other words, it is a largely self-directed experience with hands-on support from professional artists Russell and Heather Thomas.

We provide all the supplies, including painting aprons and absolutely no experience is necessary. All we require is a willingness to be creative in an inclusive supportive space.

Parents are asked to drop off their students between 3:45 - 4 pm and pick them up close to 5:30 pm. 

If your family is facing financial barriers that might be preventing you from enrolling your child, please send us a private and confidential email. We have funds that have been donated from citizens to help cover some registration costs. Email office@birdsongstudios.ca. 

Seating is limited for this program. We can accommodate a maximum of 8 students.
