A remarkable High Riverite and world-class opera diva who was given a standing ovation at a command performance for King George and Queen Mary. For a full decade Odette de Foras was among the top opera singers in Europe. Ill health brought her home to High River in the 1930s where she managed the family pig farm during the day and gave singing lessons in the evenings.

This painting was created for a special public art exhibition at The Venue in High River.
