Johnny Cash, born J.R. Cash in 1932, was an iconic American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is renowned for his distinctive deep, resonant voice and his rebellious persona, often performing in black clothing earning him the nickname “The Man in Black”. Cash’s music spanned various genres, including country, rock and roll, and gospel, and his songs often explored themes of sorrow, morality, and redemption.
